Galaxy Gaming Expands Its Bonus Jackpot System Installation Base Into California
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Galaxy Gaming, Inc. (OTCBB:GLXZ), announced today that it has initiated the roll-out of its electronically-enhanced table game platform known as the Bonus Jackpot System ("BJS") into California. In March 2009, Galaxy Gaming installed its first BJS system into a casino and decided to limit its initial roll-out to casinos in one gaming jurisdiction only (Washington State) while it evaluated the system's performance. After the initial introduction was proven to be successful in Washington, the Company began late last year on implementing its North American expansion plans, starting with California, the world's largest tribal gaming jurisdiction with 58 Indian casinos now open.
The first California installation of the BJS platform was at Casino Pauma located north of San Diego. Larry Edwards, Table Games Manager for Casino Pauma, stated, "At this point we are very pleased with the performance of the games and the player participation, and in this economy, the increased revenue doesn't hurt either. We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with Galaxy Gaming and adding their bonusing platform on more of their games."
Robert Saucier, Galaxy Gaming's Chief Executive Officer, noted, "Clearly, we want to thank Casino Pauma for being the first casino in California to utilize our BJS platform to enhance their player's table game experience and their casino's profits. California is a key strategic market for our BJS system and accordingly, we are delighted to have had such a successful debut there. We have received additional orders from other California casinos and are excited about both the short-term and long-term revenue growth opportunities represented there. Beyond the 58 Indian casinos, California also has approximately 90 commercial card rooms that can benefit from this platform as well. We look forward to serving them in the future as well."
